Norwegian Style Mittens

Ever since I went to Norway in 2015, I’ve regretted not getting a knitted sweater as a souvenir. While browsing free mitten patterns on Ravelry, I came across this Norwegian style pattern. So I decided to give it a go!

This is 4mm needles and DK weight wool yarn from Patons. I was able to google how do get started stranded knitting. It was easier than I expected! It’s much faster to do all knit stitch and follow the color pattern than keep track of many different kinds of stitches.

The mittens knitted up very quickly. The overall proportions look different on my knitting than the pictures shown online. I think mine seem skinnier and longer than the sample picture. I think I would add a few stitches to the width if I were going to make it again.
