Starting seeds!

Just got my package of seeds in the mail from ! I looked up planting times for the seeds and all of them seem to be “2-4 weeks before last frost”. I don’t think we really have frost in Northern California (at least not this year it seems!), so I am starting them right now. OK OK, I am just so excited I can’t wait to plant them.

I’m starting 3 kinds of tomatoes, banana peppers, peppers, artichoke, eggplant, broccoli, and cauliflower in peat pellets on my window sill. The window is facing roughly southeast. If that is not enough sun I might move them to my southern window with my other plants. I’ll post weekly updates so I can see how they come along.

I also planted lettuce, kale, and cilantro a while ago (maybe 2 weeks?). The kale and lettuce seem to be doing well… They are starting to look pretty cute! I’m not sure what’s up with the cilantro… maybe I need to plant a few more.

Avocado tree is looking really sickly. Have been watering it on the same schedule as the lemon tree, but starting to think I need to try something else to revive it. Lemon tree seems to be doing ok, the blossoms have started to open up.

Update!!

One week later:
