Blind Pig Clone

Brew Day notes:
24 lb pale malt 2 row
5 lb caramel/crystal malt
1 lb wheat malt

168 water
152 mash

4 oz magnum @ 60 min
1 oz cascade @ 30 min
2 oz cascade @ 30 min

1.072 original gravity (est 1.073)

Fermentation notes:
1 week primary – 68-69 degrees
1 week secondary with dry hops (2 oz willamette, 1 oz cascade) – 68-69 degrees
removed dry hops
1 week secondary – 68-72 degrees (slipped up with the ice schedule)

Bottled with cane sugar

Final Product:
1.024 final gravity (est 1.015)
6.5% alcohol (est. 7.7%)

Might be the best beer I have brewed so far! No obvious off flavors, not too hoppy- definitely my favorite IPA I have done yet. Recipe was supposed to be bourboned, however the bourboned version turned out a bit thin. If it doesn’t improve with age, we might make a blend for NCHF.
